About Jessica
When I discovered yoga in 2007 I was a very shy art student; I had no idea what yoga really was and I almost didn’t go to class! At the time I was starting my Masters Program in Fine Arts at Central Washington University. Yoga became a way for me to manage my stress and improve my self-confidence. Although at first I was tentative in class, it wasn’t long before I had memorized the flow and began to practice at home with more confidence. Since graduate school I have blossomed as my commitment to my personal practice has grown through yoga and mediation trainings. I completed my first yoga teacher-training workshop in 2013 after teaching art for several years. In 2018 I received my 2000-hour Purna Yoga Teaching Certificate from the College of Purna Yoga. Today I continue to practice daily on my own and at Alive & Shine Center. My teachers, Yoga Master Aadil Palkhivala and Mediation Master Savitri, have many years of experience and I continue to take Masters Classes every week with them and special workshops regularly. In addition to practicing and teaching yoga, I am and independent fine arts professional. I teach art classes to all ages and levels in a wide variety of media including clay and fiber arts. Creating beauty from the heart is my passion and it is my deepest desire to share this understanding of true beauty with the whole world through my personal life practices, my artwork and as a teacher of the ancient practice of true yoga. |
