About Jessica
When I discovered yoga in 2007 I was a very shy art student; I had no idea what yoga really was and I almost didn’t go to class! At the time I was starting my Masters Program in Fine Arts at Central Washington University. Yoga became a way for me to manage my stress and improve my self-confidence. Although at first I was tentative in class, it wasn’t long before I was sitting front and center and had memorized the flow to began to practice at home. Since graduate school I have blossomed as my commitment to my personal practice has grown through yoga and mediation trainings. I completed my first yoga teacher-training workshop in 2013 after teaching art for several years. In 2018 I received my 2000-hour Purna Yoga Teaching Certificate from the College of Purna Yoga. Today I continue to practice daily on my own and at Alive & Shine Center. My teachers Yoga Master Aadil Palkhivala and Mediation Master Savitri have many years of experience and I continue to take Masters Classes with them every week. In addition to practicing yoga daily and teaching yoga, I am and independent fine arts professional. I teach art classes to all ages and levels. Creating beauty from the heart is Jessica’s passion and it is her deepest desire to share this understanding of true beauty with the whole world through her personal life practices, her artwork and as a teacher of the ancient practice of yoga. |
