Art Student Praise
'I went to Jessica's clay class expecting an evening of creative fun, but I didn't realize how meaningful the clay pieces would end up being for me! Jessica has a calm and encouraging personality, and a clear and patient teaching style, which made for a class that was both relaxing and inspiring. She guided each of us to find our own inner message, and then tailored our clay plaques around it. Thank you for the wonderful class, and the two clay plaques that I can hang on my wall with pride.'
Emily, Clay Workshop Student, Fall 2020 'Very Knowledgeable and patient teacher.'
Open Media Student, Spring 2017 'I had the pleasure of taking a class on Design with Jessica. She knows her subject and clearly loves to share it. I liked that after presenting a concept, she gave us an exercise to apply it. She was supportive and respectful of all of her students efforts and encouraged us to persist as we learned. Jessica is generous with her knowledge and her insights when offering critique of the work her students produce. I look forward to taking more classes from her.'

'I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the class combined with the knowledge of the instructor.' 'The class was great! Jessica made the class fun and she was very helpful.'
Open Media Student, Fall 2015 'Jessica provides an encouraging and supportive environment while endeavoring in a creative project. She is kind, caring and patient. She gives just the right amount of guidance and information on how to work with clay and paints while allowing you to explore and play at the same time. I thoroughly enjoyed making my clay heart plate and I am looking forward to more creative art workshops in the future!'
Cassie, Clay Workshop Student, Fall 2020 'When I decided to take an art class, I was fortunate to have Jessica as my teacher. I had never had any form of a painting class before. Jessica classes are geared toward the whole group and also for one-on-one attention with individual students. She takes time with each student, making sure they understand what to do, making suggestions, and reveling in each students successes. I can say I actually feel as if I can call myself an artist now. Thanks Jessica!'
